If you are familiar with the Witcher games and books, you might have come across the card game Gwent. It features prominently in The Witcher 3 and has been given a game on its own as well. I found a set of cards online, so that is not the project. But in order to present it and to make it possible for us to actually play, I wanted to make a board for her, and a box to put both in. After a few fails, I settled on making a Minimalist Gwent Board.

I made this as a last-minute Christmas present, starting at about midnight. I made this in the very early hours of December 24th last year, that is, 2018. I made it on time, and my wife was happy. And I hope so are you!

If you enjoyed the Minimalist Gwent Board you might also like my other projects based on video games and pop culture. If you want to know more about the steel-wool-vinegar-thing, you can find that here. And if you are looking for that nifty sword that I rocked in the intro (yes, I know, a Witcher carries 2), check it out here.
