    • Tealight HoldersHas there ever been a better analogy for life, love or craftsmanship than the common tealight holder? Of course not. And I could go on and on about them, but instead, I want to inspire you to make your own tealight holders. Unlike most candle holders, tealight holders can come in many shapes and sizes, and you can find inspiration for them virtually anywhere – you can make simple ones for beginners’ craft projects and give away for Christmas, or go all out and create a Back to the Future themed DeLorean tealight holder. Which I will put on my list, too, because you can never have enough ideas. In this category, you can find all the tealight holders I have made, inspired by all manner of things and techniques. If you are new to that magical world populated by tealight holders, I recommend you start with this video about the various ways to make a tealight-sized hole.
    • Magic WandsAlmost everywhere that magic is performed, you can find magic wands in one form, shape or size or another. From the “old man’s stick” design to the sleek, more nimble wands common at certain wizarding schools, the need to channel your own magic using a pointy device seems to be commonplace. Magic aside, wandmaking has many advantages. Wands are easy projects to make, can serve as skillbuilders to hone techniques or practice new ones, and even let you try out completely new and possibly weird ideas. In addition, wands do not take up much space and, even better, make cool gifts! I make no guarantees that the wands I am making will actually work. I imagine that if they did, I would not be writing this. Instead, I would conjur up a shaving golem to be my personal assistant and do these things for me. And yes, before you ask, I am writing this myself. Wand more? Then go ahead and check out the variety of magic wands that I have made, and let me know which you like best! And then head into your shop, make one yourself and send me pictures!
    • Inspired by…Inspiration can come in many shapes and forms. Sometimes you have a problem that needs solving. Sometimes you see something quite unrelated and get inspired. And sometimes you find something in a game, a movie or a book that you want to make, one way or another. This is where you will find these projects. Keep an eye out for things like these. You do not need to actually make them, but they are a great source for new ideas and new ways to go about things. The idea here, though, is not to copy something verbatim so to speak, but to let inspiration guide you and take artistic license or detours whenever they present themselves. If the end result looks like the original, then that is probably a good thing. If you can manage to make it awesome in some way, then even better. And if you do, do not forget to take a picture and send it to me!
